How it works

From first enquiry to a completed ownership transfer: what happens at each stage, who does what, and where the money sits while it happens.

This page describes the whole process end to end. If anything here does not suit your situation, say so in your first message rather than after the terms are agreed.

1. Enquiry

You send a message from the listing page. It is not a commitment and it does not start a clock. Tell me what you want to see before you would be comfortable proceeding, and if you have a view on the price, say what it is and why.

2. Diligence

Before any money is discussed seriously, you get to verify the numbers. What is normally provided:

  • A live screen share of the developer dashboard showing user counts and the country breakdown
  • The raw country report export, so you can reconcile it against what you saw
  • Read-only access to the source repository
  • Update and review history
  • Backend architecture notes, where there is a backend

If you need something not on that list, ask. The default answer is yes.

3. Terms

We write down the price, the exact list of what transfers, the inspection window, and who pays the escrow fee. This takes a few messages and it prevents almost every dispute that would otherwise happen later.

4. Escrow

You fund the escrow account with the provider we have agreed. The funds sit with the provider. They are not with me and they are never handled by this website – this site has no payment processing of any kind and never touches your money.

Only once the provider confirms the funds are held does the technical work begin.

5. Transfer

The store listing moves to your developer account, the repository ownership moves to yours, and every credential is rotated rather than shared. You receive the assets, the locale files, and the build documentation.

You will need a registered developer account on the relevant store with two-factor authentication enabled before this stage. Setting that up in advance saves a day or two.

6. Inspection and release

You check everything against the list from stage three, inside the agreed window. If something is missing, it gets fixed before release. When you confirm, the escrow provider releases the funds.

7. Support

Where the listing includes a support period, it starts at release. That covers questions about the code, the build, the store submission process and anything that behaves unexpectedly. It does not cover new feature development.

Payment routes

Escrow is the default and the recommendation for every transaction. Cryptocurrency settlement is available for cross-border deals where conventional transfers are slow or expensive.

If you pay in cryptocurrency, note that the transaction cannot be reversed. Confirm the wallet address through a second channel before sending anything, and send a small test amount first. Never act on a wallet address that arrived only by email, including one that appears to have come from me.
