About

Who is behind these listings, why the extensions are being sold, and what the numbers on this site are based on.

This is a single-seller site. Everything listed here was built, published and maintained by the same developer, and is being sold for the ordinary reason that a portfolio eventually gets wider than the attention available to run it.

Why sell a working extension

Extensions do not fail loudly. They drift. An extension with a stable user base still needs manifest migrations, policy responses, store review handling and occasional bug fixes, and each one of those costs the same attention regardless of how many users it has.

Past a certain number of extensions the honest answer is that some of them are better off with an owner who has time for them. Selling is a better outcome for the users than slowly letting the thing rot.

Where the numbers come from

Every user count, rating and country breakdown on this site is exported directly from the relevant developer dashboard – Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Partner Center, Firefox AMO, or the equivalent. Nothing is estimated and nothing is rounded up.

Geography reports usually cover a rolling window, typically the last 30 days, while the headline user count is a current figure. They will not add up exactly, and that is a property of the source data rather than an error. The listings say which report each breakdown came from and when it was exported.

What the valuation model is and is not

The price on each listing comes from a model that is published in full on the listing itself. It is a consistent model, applied identically to everything here, and it is disclosed so it can be challenged.

It is not an appraisal, and no professional valuation standard sits behind it. It is one seller’s opinion about what users in different markets are worth, written down and applied consistently. If you think a particular input is wrong for a particular extension, that is a reasonable position and worth raising in an enquiry.

Ads on this site

The guides section carries advertising. That is disclosed here rather than buried, and there are no ads at all on the listing pages, the enquiry form, or the legal pages.
